How to Intentionally Take action Now

It was a Monday evening and I sat on the edge of my bed thinking about how tired I was after getting off from my 8 to 4 job. I was drained mentally, physically and somehow emotionally. I knew that I had content to prepare for my own business, but I almost gave in to the softness of the mattress and the glow of the pillows. It was my determination to make some specific goals reality that pushed me to the office area. You see, we can have many goals, but if we don’t take the necessary action to make them real they will be dormant and eventually slip back into being just dreams. I’m going to share a few keys with you that will help you to take action towards accomplishing your goals now.

First, break your large goals into smaller goals. It can sometimes be overwhelming when you continue to look at the big picture. Determine what key steps you need to take in order to accomplish your goals and create a list. This makes the goal much more manageable. It also helps to keep you going as you get to celebrate many accomplishments instead of just one big success. Let’s place this into a simple. You want to purchase a $300,000 dollar home by November 29th of this year. You are just starting your real estate journey so a few things you need to do are; find a real estate agent, get prequalified, look at different properties, choose a lawyer. Now you turn each one of these key areas into a goal. For instance; you will get prequalified by three financial institutions by February 2nd. This smaller goal will help you get to the larger goal and so it is as important as the big goal. Taking small steps to accomplish the big goal can lead to great success.

Another great thing to do when it comes to taking action is to identify the most important things that need to be done. After you have created your smaller goals, you may become weary because it now seems like so much. However, in that list of goals there are some things that have to get done before you can move onto the others. There may also be some things that have deadlines that have been externally created for you. Place goals like those at the top of your priority list. Take a look at the previous example. On the smaller list of things to do you had get prequalified and choose a lawyer. When you have turned these steps into goals, you may see that you need to get prequalified because you are not even sure if you are in the position to need a lawyer. Identifying the most significant tasks helps you to create a road map for taking action.

The third tip to help you take intentional action towards accomplishing your goals is; identify the right tools that you need to be successful. The frustration that comes from not having the right tools is like opening a can with a screwdriver when all you needed was a can opener. Having the right skills, documents, vendors, partners, or actual tools to get where you need and want to makes the journey much easier. Going back to the example, being prequalified is one of the best first steps you can take if you are making a non cash real estate purchase. You also need to know what documents and information will be required of you in order for the prequalification to be done. Imagine making an appointment to meet a mortgage officer, showing up, not having all of the documents or information they need, and then having to make another appointment. Having the right tools allows you to take the right actions and actually get the right results.

The final tip for taking the necessary actions is to stay motivated. This is the only way to get through the tiresome days and setbacks that may occur. Using the previous tips is definitely one way to stay encouraged because they each allow you to accomplish small goals within the big goal. You also have to learn to celebrate those small wins. You can simply decide to take a day of rest or treat yourself to something you have wanted for a long time. Also remember to have a constant reminder of your big goals in a place where you can see them every day. This is one of the most motivating things. The only thing more igniting than realizing you could be in a better position that you are today, is actually taking the steps to make that happen.

Whatever your big goal is, these tips can help you take the action that is required to accomplish it. Ig I had succumbed to the grappling thought of snuggling between the covers in my state of tiredness, you would not be reading this blog. My goal to publish weekly content to help my community would also not have been accomplished. You have made your awesome goals and it is time to activate your success journey by taking action.
