Keep Going: Much Needed Inspiration

Loss, anxiety, and depression are no strangers, especially in these recent times. I’ve had family members die during this pandemic, shared condolences to friends who’ve also suffered losses, and spoken to clients who are simply in varying states of despair. Through all of this I push myself, and encourage you also, to KEEP GOING. To accomplish this seemingly heavy task we can do the following; keep living, keep dreaming and making plans, and keep doing.

Life’s situations may not present themselves very good for you right now, but it is vital that you keep living. Acknowledging the life that you still have is a great way to stay on course. This acknowledgement does not have to be grand. A simple shout of gratefulness each morning, or whatever big or small gesture you decide on, will do. Also remember that a part of life includes resting. Sometimes we put too much effort into worrying. When you take a break from the other activities of life, make sure it is a real break and not a worry fest. Keep living life, even in the moments you struggle the most, because so much purpose can be found in the dark.

We tend to give up on ourselves more easily than we give up on others, particularly when things are “going wrong”. While you may not have the energy to get out and take action, you should keep dreaming. Dreaming allows you to maintain hope for another day. Remember to write those dreams down so that in more troubling time they can be used as a catalyst for that hope. If you’re up to it, take it a step further and make a plan for at least one of your dreams to become real. If you do this one day and step at a time, you’ll be ready to act soon enough.

Through all of the uncertainties of life it is important to have positive human connection, so continue to reach out to others. If you’re the one who is experiencing loss, despair, depression or anxiety, attempt to identify at least one trusted person you can talk to. If you realize a friend or family member has distanced themselves, call if only to say hello. These actions ensure that the life that has been acknowledge knows that they are also valued.

You cannot be successful, enjoy ownership or celebrate financial freedom if you’re not LIVING. I hope these words bring inspiration to you and encourage you to keep going.
